SumoSam Olympia

We always wanted to try Sumosam Olympia at Somerset Building in Makati Ave because of its catchy buffet signage (READ: Php499 only!) outside the resto but t’was never (ever!) been push through. You know naman basta lafangan go na go ako dyan at hindi ko aatrasan yan! So when we had our post birthday celebration last May we decided to pay a visit. Sumosam Olympia is situated along Makati Ave at Somerset building right beside Manila Peninsula Hotel and across Ayala Triangle.

This post has been sitting on my draft since last May (imagine?!) and I just remembered this drafted post when a friend of mine posted something about Sumo Sam in Instagram. Sorry naman! I don’t even know what took me so long to post this. Perhaps its my katamaran? Anyway, it’s better to be late than never, right? ๐Ÿ˜›

I wasn’t able to take photo of the buffet anymore because we were starving already when we arrived there. The place was also jam-packed then so hindi ko na naisip pang mag picture-picture. There are only few dishes to choose from. I think they only have five or seven dishes but don’t fret because the best part of this deal is their unlimited tempura. They also have two different types of ramen which I forgot what it’s called but I can still remember the taste and it’s so yummy and tasty.

I also love their tofu dish, it’s really soft and flavorful. It’s like your eating soy pudding, ganun sya ka-soft. Oh and I love their gyoza and yakisoba too!

And they also have sushi bar with fish topping in different colors. Choz!

They also have Salad bar and they have different flavors of vinaigrette too for the salad.

Unfortunately, I was really disappointed on the desert bar. Why? Because most of the desserts were gelatinized. LOL! Meaning, lahat puro gelatin! Pati ung halo-halo ang sangkap puro gelatin!

But I was really amazed with their interior.

See? It’s really nice, right?

This part of the resto captured my attention. That’s the hall way going to the CR, sarap mag party noh?

But just you wait!

Mas maganda mag-party sa CR nila! Ang bonggels lang!

Napa-sayaw tuloy ako ng Dancing queen! Oh when you get that chance…you are the Dancing Queen…
(Nahahalata yung edad sa choice of music.LOL)

    • Ay yes, you’re right! I remember Bar nga sya before owned by Tim Yap. Looks like they didn’t change the interior anymore, even the flooring pang bar pa rin, glass ung floor. Hehe

Please share your thoughts, I'd love to hear from you!
