Just a couple of weeks ago, my entire family went to Trinity Ihaw-Ihaw and Food House at Dampa, Macapagal Blvd. to celebrate Papa Semmy’s (my Tito-in-Law) birthday. He is Cj’s maternal uncle and he’s also a balik-bayan so bringing him to a different place in Manila is a one of a kind experience for him. This family lunch was a surprised birthday treat for Papa Semmy and Mama Encar (her wife) and they don’t have any idea then kung san namin sila dadalhin. Papa Semmy loves seafood so we decided to bring him at Dampa. Here in the Philippines, Dampa is indeed a seafood haven! It’s the perfect place to go to satisfy your seafood cravings.
We were supposed to go at their MOA branch unfortunately we weren’t able to locate it so we decided to go at their Macapagal branch instead. Anyway, it’s just one tumbling away from MOA, right? So keribels lang. We occupied a looooooooong table then and we rented a van para makasama lahat. Btw, the first thing you gotta do when eating in Dampa is to go at the Market and look for the seafood you would like to eat. Of course, after choosing the seafood you have to buy it and look for your favorite restaurant to cook your purchased seafood. For me the most exciting part of eating at Dampa is going to the Market, nakaka-aliw kasi to see the wide selection of fresh seafood. Wala lang, I find it really interesting. 🙂
We bought shrimps, mussels, oyster, crab, fish, and squid at the market. Trinity Ihaw-Ihaw is my favorite Restaurant here in Dampa because they cook really good! Buttered garlic shrimp and Sweet and Spicy crab are my favorite here in Trinity. I’m allergic to seafood but I can’t resist their dishes! Their version of buttered garlic food is to die for! I swear!
Get ready because here are the mouth-watering different sea foods dishes:
Bonus Tip when buying shrimps : If you want buttered garlic shrimp you can ask the Resto to remove the shrimp’s head and ask them to fry the head instead. You know why? Para walang tapon and walang sayang lahat maka-kain ninyo. 🙂
Their sweet and spicy buttered crab is to die for!!!!! I swear to God! Promise! I wanna know their secret recipe.. grabe ang sarap nito! Promise! Di naman obvious sa statement ko noh? LOL!
I so so love baked oysters! Ang sarap din ng luto nila ng baked oysters. Promise! 🙂
Oh and I love their sweet and sour fish! I forgot nga lang what type of fish is this. I love that the fish was super crispy on the outside and super linamnam nung fish, ganun ung type ko when it comes to fried-fish. Gusto ko super crispy then super linamnam nung laman. Ay ginugutom ako ng post ko! LOL! Bad timing di pako kumakain. We also have sinigang na ulo ng isda but I forgot to take a photo of it dahil sa sobrang excited kong kumain. Sorry na matakaw lang! Hehe
Note to self: Never write a food post when you’re hungry. LOL!
I was a bit disappointed with the grilled mussels… ang bland eh. Dapat pala pina-bake nalang din namin. Dibale next time.
Hindi ko din type ung squid nasobrahan sa pag grilled para na syang rubber band sa kunat. Ayoko na tuloy magpa-grill sknila next time.
Nevertheless, we enjoyed our lunch here. Most of the food was superb and we were so quiet the moment the food was served. Trinity Ihaw-Ihaw is definitely a must try!
Of course, our family lunch will not be complete without family photo-op!
After our sumptuous lunch at Trinity off we went to MOA! We were supposed to play bowling there unfortunately the place was jam-packed already when we arrived so we decided to have desserts instead. We tried Cold Stone Creamery, in fairness their ice-cream taste really good but I find it too pricey. Their pistachio is my fave! T’was Papa Semmy and Mama Encar’s treat to us. They also bought four boxes of pizza at Sbarro before we went home even though we were still full. Foodtrip galore it is!
Here’s Cyler busy entertaining everyone with his errrr…robotic dance moves. LOL!
It was indeed an afternoon filled with so much delightful moments, good food, great company, and priceless memories with my family! Looking forward for more food-trip adventures with my family! 🙂
