Has anyone ever lost their child while shopping? I never thought it would happen to me, but it did! It was a busy Saturday at the mall when I almost lost my son and I felt like I’m the worst mom living on earth! I feel like I’m a terrible mom. Really. I can’t describe how I felt that day. It was a horrible and scary experience. We were inside the Department Store when Cyler was lost. He was just playing beside my mom and in just a snap he was gone! We couldn’t find him anywhere. I was so scared and paranoid, I actually don’t know what to do. My heart was beating so fast and my temperature was rising. I was just screaming his name and begging all the guards and saleslady to helped us out. Cj was still on his way home from their company outing so I called him right away to informed him. Of course, he got so worried too. After 10minutes of searching and while I was talking to Cj over the phone I saw a little boy in a red shirt running from afar so I ran as fast as I could to get him. And thank God it was my son, Cyler! Continue reading

Hi guys! I know you’re wondering why I’m MIA for the past four days… I was pretty busy but in a good way. This time it’s not about work, I’m too busy with my family. Cyler is feeling under the weather since last Sunday so I was busy taking good care of him too. I also take a leave at work today because of that but don’t worry God is in control. Cyler feels a lot better now. He’s so energetic and playful again parang walang sakit.
Anyhoo, just wanted to share this unforgettable trip I had few weeks ago. It was our company outing at Eagle Point, Anilao Batangas. This is the only time that I joined our company outing again after 2 years of not joining.Nope, it’s not because I’m KJ it’s because madalas natatapat ung outing namin sa birthday ni Cyler. So ayun 2 times akong hindi nakasama. In fairness, this beach is really nice though super-kaduper layo nya. I was literally scared-to-death going here because you really have to go thru cliff and mountains just to get here. In fact, there are only certain place for buses because they won’t fit in the road anymore. So we have to transfer in their shuttle (which is btw a jeepney). Our foreigner boss’ did enjoy the ride they said if feels like we’re riding a roller coaster (imagine?!). So while their having fun I’m dying deep inside of me. LOL! But it was all worth it, I tell ya. 🙂 Continue reading
Kevin is my youngest brother(that turned sister), he just finished his college degree (though it’s a vocational) last month so I thought of giving him a simple celebration. I’m not the eldest among our siblings but ever since I started working I also started supporting my sibling’s studies. Of course, as their sister I want them to have a better and brighter future. I want to secure their future in the best way I can. So even hirap sa buhay I tried to support their studies even now that I have my own family. It’s really self-fulfilling to see my siblings having a better life and no amount of money can ever beat that. Nothing compares than knowing that your loved ones are on the right track/path. Belated Happy Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, mom-to-be, mother figure, and single dads out there! So how did you celebrate this day? I celebrated mine with my family together with my in-laws. I went to Batangas last Saturday for our Company Outing but I went back in Manila last Sunday so I was able to celebrate this special day with my family though I was really dead-tired from our long trip. Anyway, this day is a special day for me and it was extra special because I celebrated it with my son, Cyler and husband, Cj… for without them I won’t become a mother, right?! Continue reading
Ginataang Bilo-Bilo(glutinous rice ball) is another authentic Filipino favorite and is widely popular here in our country. If you’re Bicolano/Bicolana (like moi!) then you probably know this Filipino dish. Bilbil (short for Bilo-bilo…chos! #imbentowords) is one of my favorite merienda, my paternal grandmother introduced this dish to me. And I swear my Lola cooks the best Ginataang bilo-bilo ever! She really is one of my pegs when it comes to cooking. Bilo-bilo is one of her specialties too so last Holy Week when we stayed in our house in Antipolo I tried to cook ginataang bilo-bilo. In fairness, my version of bilo-bilo was edible though I must admit that still nothing beats my Lola’s ginataang bilo-bilo. Continue reading
Summer hottest trends have taken over the runways at Shangrila Plaza last April 26, 2014 as they featured the mall’s top kids and youth brands at the East Atrium.
If you’re an avid reader of this blog, I bet you know that I’m a sucker for pasta dishes and I loooove cooking pasta. Aside from baking cakes and pastries, I also considered pasta as one of my specialties and my entire family can attest to that. I always cook pasta but I’d never tried lasagna for one reason– I’m too lazy to try it. Just having the thought of doing all the process makes me really go crazy and lazy. It’s kinda matrabaho kasi the layering and all, diba nakaka-shomad? But when I’ve tried it last week I realized it’s not nakakapagod at all. I mean it does but it’s really worth it. Minsan nauunahan lang talaga tayo ng katamaran natin. Continue reading

I love baking and I’m a sucker for pastries and cakes that why I’ve always wanted to try Purple Oven. I’ve heard they have the best pastries in the metro. Thing is they only have few branches and it’s too far from our home. So last Saturday when we attended a Christening at Sacred Heart, Makati we were able to visit Purple Oven. We arrived too early at the church so while waiting we made tambay muna at Purple Oven.
Promise last na’to! Hihi

This is actually the 1st part (read the 2nd part here) of my birthday celebration. I had a pre-birthday celebration-slash-staycation at Ace Hotel & Suites last April 20. Yes, that was Easter Sunday. Its actually my birthday salubong, my real birthday kasi is April 21 and it just so happened that in my birth certificate it was set in April 22. Yeah, it’s a typo-error kind of issue, I only discovered that it was wrong when I entered high-school. Kalurks diba? Pero it’s okay kasi dalawa ang birth date(s) ko. O diba bonggels?!
It’s getting hotter and hotter everyday here in the Philippines so most of the people are craving for something cold to eat or even drink. Eating ice-cream is indeed our number heat-buster. So I guess this post is on right timing since its summeeeeerrrrr! I know some people who doesn’t like eating avocado because it has a bitter aftertaste but when they tried this avocado ice-cream they begun to appreciate the goodness of avocado. I know it’s really hard to love their silky texture and versatile flavor BUT did you know that avocado has bunch of health benefits? Yes, this fruit is rich in nutrients and vitamins. And it also considered as one of the healthiest food in the planet. Peksman! If you still don’t believe me read this (click this link). Continue reading
