Vietura Aesthetic Lifestyle Center At Sofitel Manila

Last month, when Jackie Go and I had a lunch date at Spiral we were given a gift certificates for a one session trial of Resolift and Ultralipo procedures at the Vietura Aesthetic Lifestyle which is also located at Sofitel, Manila. Then just a couple of weeks ago, I decided to try the Ultralipo procedures after pigging out during the Holidays because I guess that’s the best time to burn all the fats and calories I gained during Holidays, right?!

Perfect Mom-me Time at California Nails & Day Spa

What’s your favorite reward for yourself after a long day and stressful day or week at work? Me, my ultimate reward for myself is spending my me-time at the Spa. I love being pampered at the SPA because it gives me so much relaxation and comfort. I used to go at the SPA at least twice a month, naka-set na yan hindi yan nagbabago. Because it feels so refreshing every time I go to the SPA and it feels good to go home when you release all the stress in your body. Do you feel that way too?

I’ve recently discovered a beautiful SPA near our office. It’s just two kembot and 1 tumbling away from my office. I discovered California Nails & Day Spa at Somerset Makati Ave. branch. O diba name pa lang sashal na.

Women’s Health, Are You Game? Event

Hello there! Last week, I was personally invited by Lara Parpan, the Editor-in-Chief of Women’s Health to participate on their upcoming event– “Women’s Health, Are You Game?” this coming Saturday, June 1 at the Music Hall, SM Mall Of Asia.

I met Lara at the Wyeth Promama event three weeks ago and I can say how physically fit she is! She is indeed a sporty type of woman and I admire her for being like that..not to mention very humble. 🙂

Anyway, here’s the good news! She is also inviting each and everyone to come and participate in this event! Now how good is that? So good!

The Health Benefits Of Dancing

Dancing is one of my passions (hindi lang halata, hehe), it is also a form of exercise. Belly dancing and modern dance (like hiphop, jazz, pop rock, etc) is what I like the most. Yes, I love belly dancing,but it seems like belly dancing doesn’t like me. Anyhoo, hubby and I used to go at the gym twice a week, one hour dance class is I guess enough for me to stay fit and at the same time to enjoy and have fun. I’m not a weight conscious or what , it’s just that I like to dance. Dancing gives an overall sense of my well being cause it really boosts my self-confidence and build my social skills. Sometimes, I feel really sexy when I’m dancing (ansabeeee?! Hayaan nio na kahit sa sayaw lang maging sexy. Haha), besides it’s not every time naman. Hehe When I was young I used to join the school dance production, I even join cheer dance competition, ganyan ako ka-adik sumayaw. Hehe Actually, Cj loves dancing too, that’s one of our common interests. We also noticed that Cyler loves dancing too, cause he used to jump and wiggle his body (May future kang bata ka!) whenever he hears music. #SigeNaNga!

Anyhoo, now that I’m a mother and a wifey, I know it’s hard to squeeze my time cause I need to spend most of my time with my family. But reality check- I’m only a HUMAN. I need a me-time too. And so I am trying to balance everything- my work, family, friends, including me-time. My family is the best stress reliever, but sometimes it is also important to give yourself a break. A time to reflect, to enjoy, and to do what really makes you happy. Remember that a happy wifey makes a happy home. They say that once you become a mother you can no longer have a social life, it’s definitely not true. You can still do what you want but not everything of course, you still need to give up something for your family. You just have to balance everything, remember that there is always time for everything. Bear in mind that having me-time will not make you a bad parent, you just need to set a limitation. Personally, dancing is part of my life, it also benefit my health. Besides being fun, dancing has many positive health benefits.

And here’s some of the healthy goodness of dancing:
• It benefits every part of the body, including the mind. The experts say that exercising causes the body to produce endorphins, chemical that can help a person to feel more peaceful and happy.
• And of course if you feel better, you will also look better.
• Achieving your desired weight can boost your self-confidence too.
• Improve posture and muscle toning.
• It benefits our heart and cardiovascular system.
• It reduces stress.
• It decreases a person’s risk of developing certain diseases like high blood, diabetes, cancer or any kinds of diseases.
• Dancing is tremendously beneficial in keeping us young. Who want’s to be forever young?! (Itaas ang paa at iwagayway!) #Kaloka!

I know it’s really hard to include exercise in your insanely busy schedule, especially if you’re a working Mom like me, but believe me one or two hours of work out is enough to maintain a healthy body and lifestyle. Remember, you need to be healthy for your family. So why don’t you give it a try, make dancing/exercise a part of your daily habit. You can also do it yourself at home, by simply stretching your arms and legs, or you can also dance together with your family whenver you hears music. It’s a perfect bonding time for your family too. There is also lots of available video about dancing and exercise, just simply browse the net. But still it’s important to check with your own medical provider before starting any new form of exercise, especially if you are over 40, pregnant or have medical problems.

I guess, that’s it pansit!

Oh Dear, Another Year

Oh dear, it’s another year for me! Two days from now and it’s my birthday again! Woo hoo! Hooray for the wonderful years of my life! For me, my birthday is one of the most wonderful time of my life because I have so many things to be thankful for. I guess I already received the greatest gift that anyone could ever had, my family. And I think, I could not ask for more, yan na ang pinaka-bonggang gift sa lahat! Umiral nanaman ang ka-dramahan ko! Oh gosh, parang kailan lang 12 years old palang ako, ngayon 13 years old nako. Hahaha! Oh walang ko-kontra, birthday ko ‘to! 😛

First and foremost , lemme say thank you to the following:

  • To the Almighty God for giving me another exciting year to live, thank you for all the countless blessings you have given me. Truly without you I am nothing. I owe you everything, I love you Papa God! 🙂
  • To my husband Cj, thank you for the endless love and patience you have given me. You’re a dependable source of comfort and you’re my cushion when I fall.I love you Hon more than you know. And to our son Cyler, thank you for teaching me how to love unconditionally and for always making me feel a one proud Mommy.Keep it up sweetie, I will always be here for you no matter what. As far as the eye can see, that’s how much I love you.
  • To my dearest relatives and friends: Thank you for making my life more meaningful and wonderful. And thank you for sharing your life with me. They say “Count Your Age By Friends, Not Years.” , in fairness ang dami ninyong naka-tiis sa mga kabaliwan ko! From the bottom of my happy heart, thank you so much guys! My life won’t be as exciting as this without you, I love you all!

And of course mawawala ba naman ang birthday wishlist?! Of course not! Hehe

Now Here’s my top 6 birthday wishes:

  1. A house and lot! Why not chocnut?!
  2. A family trip to HongKong and Macau!
  3. An iPad2 or iPad3.. and an iPhone5! (meron naba?excited much lang, sorry! =p)
  4. A new pair of shoes from VNC and a bag from CMG or XOXO! I’m only a woman, born to love shoes and bags.
  5. A total hair make-over! Oh yeah, kikayness in the house! My last hair makeover was 1 1/2 years ago, could you imagine that?! I really think I need this one. Napaglipasan na ng panahon ung hair ko, my goodness!
  6. A new pair of Havianas summer collection!

And above all these material things, I’m just a simple woman who have a simple wish, to have a happy and healthy family. Btw, I am now accepting gifts pero better kung cash. LOL! Ang hindi daw magbigay ng gift mamalasin sabi sa Feng Shui, just kidding! But they say jokes are half-meant true, right? 😛 #WishLangNaman

Finding Time For Me Time

One of my favorite time is “me time”, for me it’s always a perfect time to relax, to enjoy, and to meditate. I usually go to “Lets Face It” spa salon in Glorietta twice a month. They’ve got everything that I want they have massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc. I love pampering myself after a long tiring day from work, I guess everybody want it too. Yun na lang yung treat ko sa sarili ko. Why not diba? Ang saya umuwi ng bahay ng hindi pagod. Tapos makikita ko pa yung hubby and baby ko pag uwi ko, ay perfect na perfect na ang araw ko! Actually today, I supposed to go to the gym but then bigla akong inatake ng katamaran! Shocks! Ang hirap pala labanan! Hehe
