Last month, we attended a birthday party with Hello Kitty themed at Jollibee, Macapagal. I’m a big fan of this cartoon character when I was a small kid so this party definitely brought out the kid in me. It was a simple yet fun-filled birthday party and we did enjoy it most especially Cyler. I haven’t attended a Hello Kitty themed party in such a long time so medyo na-excite ako this time. Sounds like a late post, right? Well actually, it’s not. Late lang talaga yung Easter event, but it’s better than never, ayt? Cyler’s godfather, Biboy invited us to join their company’s Easter Egg Hunt last Sunday, April 6. And since I don’t have any order and Cj don’t have work so walang keme-keme gorabels agad kami! It’s Cyler’s 1st ever Easter event, so Mommy and Daddy was sooooo excited about it! Mas excited pa kami sa bagets as usual! Cyler didn’t know where we’re going but he’s always giddy and excited every time he rides the car, he’s very outgoing like his parents. His face never fail to lighten up every time we go out. Talaga namang certified lakwatsero ang bagets! Oh well, san pa ba magmamana noh? Hehe
The event was held at Philippine Army Clubhouse in Mckinley, The Fort. The decor was such an eye-candy especially the balloons! Kaya naman hindi pa nag-start ung program naubos na lahat ng decor ng mga kiddos! LOL! The place was a bit hot maybe because of the number of attendees.
They’ve got Jollibee as the party host, so as expected Jollibee mascot was there too. They also prepared lots of prizes and giveaways for the kiddos. They also prepared some balloon twisting, coloring, and face painting. They also had puppet show which is annoying by the way, even the kids got bored watching it. And also the kids, yaya’s, and other parents started getting the eggs even though the host is not giving yet the go signal to start egg hunting. So ang ending wala kaming nakuha! Hahaha! Better luck next time, sweetie!
They also prepared sweets buffet and food stall for kids and kids at heart so that we can have some snack while the program is on-going. And they had buffet for the grown ups and Jollibee food for the kiddos.
Cyler enjoyed coloring, too bad the coloring contest was ended already when we arrived. He enjoyed it a lot to the point wherein he doesn’t want to leave that table anymore.
Oh and here’s what I wore that day. Segue segue din pag may time! LOL
Pa-girl ako that day!
And here’s my boys!
One of the things he enjoyed the most? Playing and running inside the venue! That’s he’s forte! It seems like there was a riot inside the venue, all kids we’re running all around while we, the guardians are so busy chasing them! Even the party committee weren’t able to control the crowd. Haha! T’was a pretty mess! And another memorable experience for my toddler. Making memories as a family is what we enjoyed the most. 🙂
Thanks again, Ninong Biboy for inviting us! 🙂
Caleruega Church is our second destination in our Batangas trip. Since this church is just 10 minutes drive from Chateau Royale and since the sun was out full blast unlike the other say we decided to dropped by at Caleruega Church. The place was really peaceful and quiet, although there are lot’s of students who are having their field trip at that time. The Church was so beautiful, peaceful, and serene. Oh how I love the fresh air and the smell of the tree’s and the plants surrounding the entire place. I felt like I’m in heaven when I entered the place, but of course heaven is way better than what I saw here. I guess this is one of the best part of our trip, visiting God’s sacred place. I felt like I’m home when I’m here. 🙂
Look at this scenery, it’s definitely breath taking!
Don’t you just love this place?! And look at those tree’s and plants surrounding the entire place, isn’t it so beautiful? 🙂
Warning: This post is photo heavy, I’m telling you!
From the candy to the costumes, Halloween is a fun-filled time for everyone especially to my son, Cyler because this is his first ever Halloween Party! Yes it is! We attended two Halloween Parties, one in Daddy’s office and one in my office. Since this is Cyler’s first-ever Trick or Treat everyone was so excited to see him wearing his costume… especially me, of course! I went to Rustan’s and SM to look for my little boy’s costume but I didn’t like any because I found it so common. And so my biggest challenge began. But did you know what?! God is so good to me because I didn’t spend any penny for his costume! I was lucky enough because my office mate, Anna lend her son’s costume to Cyler! Woo hoo! Problem solved! Cyler got an instant costume! Thanks Tita Anna for lending this supah-cute costume to our cutie patootie! 🙂
Now here’s our cutie patootie on his adorable costume!
Now how in the world is that?! He’s indeed the cutest!
While waiting for the party to start I let my toddler scribble so he won’t get bored. This is an effective way of conquering my toddler’s boredom.
The party started at 3pm and look who’s giddy and excited for the Trick or Treat!
Moving on with Trick or Treat. Here’s some of the adorable costumes from the other kiddos!
Lowdown: I guess they’ve got more than 200 participants that’s why they don’t have any award for the best costume at all. BOOO! Another rant about the party is that it wasn’t so organized, it’s so difficult to find where to go. We have designated groups but some of the kids we’re mixed up with the other group.
Upside: But the good thing is they really prepared their booths, it all looked so awesome! They exert so much effort decorating their workstations! I was really amazed and mesmerized at the same time. 🙂
Hi guys! How’s your weekend?! Hope you had a great one! I haven’t posted anything since my last post (that was four days ago), so I would like to give you a quick update with me and my family. We had a very tiring but tremendously wonderful weekend! We went to our dear friend’s house blessing last Saturday at Cavite and yesterday we just stayed at home. Our trip to Cavite last Saturday was really great, we we’re able to catched up with Cj’s former office mates, it was like a mini-reunion because it’s been a long time since we saw each other. Cyler gained more friends, and you know what’s funny? All kids called him baby because he is the youngest kid there. I’ll make a different post about that because it deserves to be remember, for the mean time here’s the photos that I posted in IG. If you’re following me on IG I’m pretty sure you know where am I and what I’m doing that day. Hehe
Yesterday, I’ve done a lot of cooking and had a non-stop playtime with Cyler. Eat, sleep, and play– that’s what we did yesterday. I’m too busy with my toddler that’s why I wasn’t able to make a blog post. It was really tiring but self fulfilling, yes indeed. And you know what makes me really happy? I made two dishes yesterday, one Filipino cuisine and the other one is Mexican cuisine (naks! Parang tunay!). This dish is so easy to cook and to prepare, di man lang ako pinagpawisan ng konti… pawis na pawis na pawis lang! LOL! Here’s the photos that I posted in IG yesterday, don’t worry I’ll make a different post for the recipe, so watch out for that!
Cyler wore his jumper for the very first time! And I found it really cute! This jumper was a birthday gift to him, I almost forgot that he had this jumper buti nalang talaga I saw it bago pa nya mapag liitan, sayang naman. Daba?
So there you go, this is just a glimpse of our weekend! I’ve got so many things to share but so little time to blog out. If I only have all the time in the world! But I’ll try to do it tonight… so help me God. And oh btw, I’m sooo excited and looking forward for the long weekend (because we have an out of town trip together with our friends) and for Cyler’s first ever trick or treat this coming Thursday at his Daddy’s office!!!!! Gosh! I’m so eggcited for him and I just can’t hide it! I wish it’s Thursday already. Hehe
How about you? What did you do last weekend? Share it with me, I’m glad to hear from you!
And oh don’t forget to start your day with a prayer! Have a blessed and happy weekdays everyone! 🙂
Last saturday , we went to Manila Memorial Park at Sucat Parañaque for my AIL (Aunt In Law) Nanay Linda’s 1st year death anniversary. Nanay Linda is my hubby’s fave Aunt, I remember her as a very happy person, she’s very kind and motherly. When I was pregnant with Cyler, she used to tell us that we should bring Cyler at their house gusto niya daw alagaan si Cyler, it’s sad cause she didn’t have the chance to see Cyler anymore. She passed away three weeks before Cyler was born. Anyhoo, I know that she’s happy wherever she is right now.
Moving forward, we brought Cyler with us since it was also his monthly check up. We arrived a bit late (o sige na nga ndi na a bit, late talaga kami), the mass was ended and the guest was eating already. We’re late because we was stocked up in the bumper-to-bumper traffic in Makati (sa presinto nalang daw ako mag paliwanag. Haha!). Anyhoo, it was really a hot summer day but despite of that we was able to kept ourselves cool, especially Cyler. He let everyone carry him and he was so busy entertaining everybody by his counting skills (he say one-chu-chi-poy , it’s one-two-three-four), his other pasikat skills like high-five, align (point-to-point), and by being so talkative the whole time. He didn’t mind the hot weather, which is good but kawawa, deadma lang siya kahit naliligo na siya sa pawis niya. Hay. He wanted to walk the whole time but I insisted, kasi super init talaga at ang tirik tirik ng araw that time kasi tanghaling tapat. Also, we’ve had the chance to catch up with our closest family members, since we hardly see each other due to our hectic schedules. We had a bonding time kahit sandali, I guess yan ang panalo sa lahat!
Here’s some of the photos together with the Ricafort Clan:
This is my CIL Ate Maggie , the mom behind Mommy Maggie Musing’s Blog. We are planning to have a more play date for our little ones, hopefully matuloy para masaya at bongga. 🙂
He was hypnotized by the colorful printed shirt of his Tito Mike (akala niya ata book). HeeHee
We all had a great time and didn’t mind the hot summer weather. 🙂
After the family event, we went to St. Lukes Hospital at The Fort, for Cyler’s monthly check-up. We we’re scheduled at 1pm and we arrived a bit late (tunay na ‘to di kami masyadong late, slight lang talaga. Hehe), cause we left Parañaque at 12:30pm. While waiting for our turn, we went to the Lobby to meet our friend Michelle, they just finished they’re appointment with Dra. I recommended Dra.Vienne to her and I think she really likes Dra. Vienne for her bebe. So far, I didn’t hear any negative feedback from her about Dockie. Btw, If you’re looking for a pediatrician for your bebe, I highly recommend Dra. Vienne to all the Mom’s out there, you know why? Because she’s very hands on to all her patients, very professional, easy to talk with, very accommodating, and kind as well. She answer’s every questions I ask her, even through text and she always give me good parenting advices. You may check her info and sched in this blog post.
Anyhoo, we was attended by Dra. Vienne at exactly 2pm. Good thing, we didn’t wait that long. Doc said that Cyler is now ready for table food (Yey!), she also mentioned that we should avoid giving him salty and oily food. Cyler had a varicella (chicken pox) vaccine, Dockie said that this vaccine will protect him from this common childhood disease and its potential serious complications, such as bacterial skin infection. She mentioned that chicken pox is extremely contagious, it spreads very quickly from one person to another person through air. Also, she said that this is the best time to give him the varicella vaccine cause Cyler will be expose to different people on his upcoming birthday party. She also checked Cyler’s height and weight, as well as the circumference of his head. Cyler gained 1 kilo in one and a half months, which is really good. In terms of height, Dra said that Cyler is really tall for his age, sana wag manahin ang height ni Mommy. She noticed that Cyler looks like a little boy now, that gave me goosebumps. Oh well, he’ s growing up so fast but he will always be my baby. Generally, Cyler is a well and active baby. 🙂
Here’s some photos inside the clinic:
Thanks Doc Vienne for making Cyler a very healthy baby.
Don’t you love the clinic’s interior?! 🙂
His monthly check up with Dra. Vienne is always a fun time for him.
More of our Stupendous Hot Saturday on my next post… 🙂
Today is Cyler’s first Easterific Sunday and we want his first Easter celebration to be special and memorable. The main reason we are celebrating the Easter is because this day Jesus Christ has risen. So we started our day by attending the mass in the morning, to give thanks and glory to the Lord. When I was a little kid, me and my Tita Nanin always celebrate the Easter Sunday in our Church. We used to have an egg hunting game after the service, that’s one of my memorable childhood experienced. I want my son Cyler to experience the same thing too. I want his first Easter Sunday to become memorable too. I know he wouldn’t appreciate it for now, but I know he will remember all the good things that we did for him when he grow up. Anyway, after the mass we went to Trinoma for the Easter event. The Easter theme for this year is “Mad Lab Science”. We came a bit late on the event, the egg painting was finished already but it’s fine I know Cyler will not appreciate it for now. There are lots of booths on the event, so we just checked all the booths.
Here’s the sched of the said event:
Here’s the EGGzhiting photos:
In fairness, ang tindi ng spotlight dito ah! Dinugo ang kili-kili namin! 😛
The Walking Bebe:
He really loves walking now. Good job Cyler! We’re very proud of you! 🙂
After the event, we went straight to Youjie&Me boutique. We bought BOIKIDO eco-friendly learning toys for Cyler, just like what I said on my previous blog post we want more eco-friendly toys for our little boy. Not only because we care to our son, we care to the world too. 🙂
Say yes to eco-friendly learning toys and no to plastic battery operated toys!:)
Here’s the sneak peek of BOIKIDO‘s eco-friendly learning toys:
WARNING: These toys are addictive! As in! 😀
Don’t you just love these colorful toys?! My goodness! @_@
I must say, the price is right. You should see it yourself! 🙂
I’ll make a blog post about BOIKIDO very sooon! I hope hindi na 48 years mag upload that time! 😛 For now eto muna! Hihihi
BTW, here’s my kikay outfit for this day (singit lang!Hehe):
Anyhoo, let’s go back to my topic. Sorry for the singit outfit. Before we go home, we went to the family lounge to take some rest. Ayala Malls has the best family lounge, it’s cozy and clean. If you’re an A-Card or Ayala Card holder, the family lounge is for free.
We had a blast! Thank you Lord for this wonderful day! 🙂
How’s your holyweek? 🙂
Finding Dra. Vienne Saulog is the best thing that I ever made for my little boy. He is Cyler’s 3rd pedia already, ever since Cyler was born I’ve been searching for the right pedia for him. His first pedia was not-so-good, because she doesn’t check Cyler’s thoroughly and she doesn’t give any advices for Cyler’s development. And for me that’s a big NO!NO! So I decided to look for a new one. His 2nd pedia was our cousin’s family pedia. Just like the first one, I am not panatag about her too. My mommy senses tells that I need to find the right one. A someone who will check Cyler’s thoroughly and someone I can ask everything about my son’s development (Hindi ung turok lang ng turok ng bakuna! My gulay!).
One day, my cousin Ate Maggie shared her new blog to me. I read on one of her blog post about Dra. Vienne Saulog. I immediately asked her if Dra. Saulog is an accredited doctor of Maxicare, so we can use Cyler’s health card. She said that Dra is an accredited Doctor of Maxicare. Dra. Vienne has three clinic, one in Paseo de Magallanes, one in St. Lukes Global, and one in Asian Hospital. I like that they allow pre enlisting, perfect for our tight sched. Also, she is highly recommended by most Mommies.
We went to Paseo clinic for Cyler’s first check up with Dra. He was 3 months old at that time. Cyler’s immediately fell in love with the cozy play area. I like the hanging animal toys on the ceiling too. We were scheduled at 4pm and was attended by Dra before 5pm. Not bad, because when it was our turn she was not rushing at all. I was not expecting her to be THAT thorough. She asked that we removed Cyler’s clothes and his diaper so she can check the bikini and anal area. She also ran her fingers to Cyler’s scalp to check if there’s any lymph node. She noticed the white pots on Cyler’s forehead, she suggested that we apply Cethaphil lotion to that area. Also, I told her about Cyler’s dry scalp. She said it’s normal to baby and she suggested that we apply baby oil on the dry area and comb it. She checked Cyler’s height, weight and even the circumference of his head to find if it’s right to his age. She said that Cyler’s weight is just right for his age(as much as possible she doesn’t want the baby to become obese) and she said that Cyler is tall for his age(Sana hindi magmana sa height ni Mommy. Hehe). She mentioned that Cyler’s skills are advanced for his age(Pumalakpak bigla ang tenga ko! Haha!) . She gave us all the details and tips that we needed for Cyler’s development (Actually, hindi nako magkanda ugaga kaka take down ng notes. Haha! ). And she said that Cyler is a well and active baby, so there’s nothing to worry about. 🙂
Now its final, Dra. Vienne Saulog is Cyler’s official pedia. This time its for real! 😀
Btw, Dra. Saulog is so pretty and has a good skin complexion. I wonder what’s her beauty regimen. Umiral nanaman ang ka-kikayan ko daba?!Hihi
Welcome to our family, Dra. Vienne Saulog!
Share your pedia stories with me. 🙂

Long weekend is the most awaited time of every employee especially for the working parent like us. No need to file any vacation or sick leave, it’s worry free! Anyway, this long weekend or Lenten season we are planning to go in my hometown at Antipolo and spend the holy week there. But unfortunately, we can’t use our car because two weeks ago our car has damaged due to car accident. Yes you read it, we got into car accident but good thing we’re safe, still alive and kicking! Thank God for that!
So now we changed our plan for the long weekend, we will just stay at home and make the most out of it! More family bonding, playtime and fun time! At least I’m going to be a full-time Mom and wifey for FIVE days, that’s the most important thing to me. Hep! Hep! Hooray!
Lent is a season of grief so let us forgive and ask forgiveness from God. Because he gave his only begotten son to save us from our sins. So let us never forget the true and holy meaning of this season.
So now, what’s your plan for the Holy Week?
Every mother wants to take good care and be with their family 24/7 and I really wish to be a “full-time Mom”(Sino bang ayaw?)too. But for working mom like us, it’s really hard to do that because we need to balance our work and family. And ofcourse, we just want to secure their future. It’s for their own good, right? That’s why weekends are very precious to me, coz that’s the only time that I can give to my son and my hubby. And I make sure that I give them quality time that they really need.
But you know what, most of the time our little Cyler used to wake up at night when we come home from work. He used to play with us before he get back to bed. So what I do is I read his book to him every night, then afterwards I let him watch his favorite cartoons at my mobile. Btw, his favorite cartoon is Charlie and the Numbers from Babytv channel, this cartoon will teach the baby to count from 1-10. Cyler’s favorite part is the Number’s Party( where Charlie and the Numbers will sing and dance), he dance and clap when he heard the song. He really takes all our worries and fears away when we saw him really happy.
Btw, here’s the epic photo of our daily playtime at night.
How I wish we can play with him 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! #wishfulthinking
This month my son is already 10 months, and I’m glad that at this stage he is very active and enthusiastic in learning things. Like every family out there we also celebrate Cyler’s monthsary every month. It’s good to see him learning and growing so fast, and it makes us a proud parent. Cyler never fails to make us smile and I want to thank God for giving us the most precious gift that anyone could ever had. Oh I’m starting to weep now.. I’m such a drama queen, really! I am more iyakin than Cyler! Hehe
Btw, here’s Cyler’s milestones now:
He can say “Ma-Ma” for Mommy
And “Da-da” for Daddy
He even say “Tata” for Tita
And “A-mah” for Sama(come), his lola taught him to say Sama.
He likes throwing stuff out of the playpen.
He is so eager to learn how to walk, actually I let him practice walking everyday at the house or in our veranda.
He knows how to open the pages of his book on his own and it’s accompanied by narration (pretending he can read already). Hihi
His teeth are almost complete and molars are starting to peek out on his gums (it gives him a hard time to sleep at night, but good thing he doesn’t experience any fever).
He is starting to bite everything even Mommy and Daddy’s arms (sob.. but that’s totally fine sweetie).
Here’s Cyler’s 10th month celebration.
P.S. Mommy and Daddy will always be here for you in every step of your life! We love you so muchooo Cyler!
